Riaz Khimany

I live in Milton, Ontario, and I work in the Ontario Public Service. Since January 2026 I have been Director of Enterprise Portfolio Management and Reporting - looking after how a large portfolio of work is planned, tracked, and reported.

Before that I was a director in the same ministry, and for a long stretch I was at the Ministry of Transportation. The MTO years ran from business analysis and project leadership through modernization work and program delivery, and later a director role in project management and program delivery. Altogether it is more than twenty years of building and running technology and program work for government.

I grew up in Karachi, Sindh, in the Ismaili community, and came to Canada for university. I graduated from Dalhousie University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Computer Science (co-op). The very early resume from those first jobs is still on file if you want the period piece.

This site started in the late 1990s. It stayed online because of family. Riana was born on 27 August 2009. Izaan followed on 19 November 2010. Their picture and video albums are still here, just easier to look through. The old homepage portrait is in the archives.

When I am not at work or with family I have always liked music. There are a few live recordings on the music page, and newer videos on YouTube.
